Dear President Cheng Siwei, Chairman Dai Xianglong, Han Shengqi, Lu Kewen, and Yukio Hatoyama,

I am very pleased to extend my sincere regards to all guests at the 11th International Financial Forum (IFF) Global Annual Meeting. I highly commend the International Financial Forum (IFF) for its valuable contribution to the global policy dialogue.

The United Nations is currently working to resolve catastrophic conflicts, Ebola outbreaks and other imminent crises. But we also continue to focus on the long-term future. We are working to achieve the Millennium Development Goals and carry out the largest anti-poverty campaign in history. We lead more global dialogue on the sustainable development agenda. We will also push for a meaningful agreement at the Global Climate Conference next year. The implementation of a new set of sustainability goals requires a strong global financial architecture to support it. The United Nations is ready to strengthen cooperation with multilateral financial institutions and governments to promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth. Next year, the Third International Conference on Financing for Development, held in Addis Ababa, will provide an excellent opportunity for all parties to take joint action. I believe that everyone will actively participate in this important work.

I wish this Assembly a complete success and let us work together to create a better tomorrow.

Thank you!
